We are excited to participate in our nations only Catholic Day of Giving on Tuesday, November 29. Our goal this year is to raise $50,000 for our brothers and sisters in Hinche, Haiti at our sister parish Sacre Coeur.
Water is the foundation of life. Today around the world, far too many people spend their entire day searching for it. Clean and fresh water is a main concern in Haiti, where waterborne illnesses, such as typhoid, and cholera. Cases of cholera and deaths from cholera have spiked in Haiti amid fuel and water crisis at this time. With a spike in gang violence that has made it unsafe for people to leave their communities and a lack of fuel has shut down public transportation, gas stations and other key businesses including water supply companies.
