A Message from Father Jack:
Based on what I have observed on the church property and nearby roads, there will be substantial amounts of black ice and numbers of fallen trees Sunday morning, given the anticipated hard freeze. Things should be reasonably passable by early afternoon. Given the circumstances, all parishioners are dispensed from the typically required assistance at Mass the Sunday and can instead pray a Rosary (I suggest the Luminous Mysteries) and meditate with thanksgiving upon the gift of our Baptism.
Those who see that it is safe to drive about may attend the Novus Ordo Masses offered at 2pm and 4pm.
Servers, readers, and the sacristan originally scheduled for 10:45am should supply at the 2pm Mass, if it is safe to drive.
4pm Mass should be served by the volunteers already scheduled, if it is safe to drive. Father Baker and I are aware that we may need to piece things together with possibly a short number of volunteers.
All other events on Sunday are cancelled. Blessings to all of you as we celebrate the Baptism of the Lord to conclude our Christmas Season!
In Christ, Fr Jack
