The mission of the Sisters of Bethany is to provide all ladies of Saint Monica’s the opportunity to gather together in social, educational, spiritual, and service activities. It is our hope that as we gather together as sisters in Christ we will grow together in love and joy, walk together in faith, and find true and trusted friendships through our sense of community, works of service, and heartfelt sharing. It is through these bonds we hope to encourage and inspire each other to “choose the better part” in a backwards culture and more than challenging world.

This is an organization open to all women 21 and up in the parish. Meetings are held on evenings, four to five times a year. Registered members will receive email notifications for meetings and other events, which will also be publicized in the church bulletin and on all social media avenues. Some of the ways this guild will serves our parish family is creating educational events for women, assisting with parish ministry events, and offering programs of interest to the ladies of our parish.

A primary service focus of the ministry will be the spiritual support for each other and in particular for our priests, seminarians and all those considering consecrated life within the Saint Monica’s community. Our first call to action will be to spiritually adopt the priests, families and religious of our parish and actively work to cover them in daily prayer, fasting and acts of specific sacrifice.
